The Lemonade Crime

The money is gone! 

In book two of the Lemonade War series, we are back with Evan and Jessie after the lemonade war has ended. They made a pretty good chunk of change, but they can't find it in the house anywhere. They search and search, blame each other, then search some more. It's official, someone stole their money! But who could it be? 

This dynamic duo takes matters into their own hands to find the culprit, and they think it is Scott Spencer (no relation to me 😆) but how to prove it? Jessie decides to hold a trial one day after school which include judge, jury and consequences for this money thief! The other kids in the school think this is a great game, but Evan and Jessie couldn't be more serious. They want their hard earned lemonade money back. They will stop at nothing to solve the lemonade crime!

This book focuses on legal terms and how the courts are run. I love that Jacqueline Davies includes such practical, yet kid friendly,  vocabulary! Such a cleaver way to help kids learn new words, and most importantly, remember them and what they mean.
